Opera 10 has sadly adopted the same stance as 9.64 in refusing to
accept that I am not using and have no wish to use Opera Mail and
that I therefore do not particularly want to initialize it.
In 9.64, when I received the error message 'There was a problem
initializing Opera Mail. Engine Init() failed', I could at least move
the box to the bottom left of the screen to make it easier to click
it away. It would stay down there for several sessions before
mysteriously realizing it had been moved and popping bak to the
middle. In 10, it forgets straight away and goes back to the middle
the next time I start it. Is there some way I can fix its position by
editing opera.ini? (Or something else?)
For anyone who doesn't know, I tried to correct the underlying
problem but without success, and have learned to live with it. (I
managed to make it go away, but then I had other problems instead. I
think I gave a full account about a year ago.)
Cheers,
Harry
