Thanks Jack, Kenneth and Jim.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/8634718.stm won't load for
me either (link on the same page, the one about the jump from a
tower). I haven't tried the others.

I use Opera Classic skin - skins seem to cause quite a lot of
problems, I've learnt from the developers blog. Are any of you using
a diffferent skin, or ID-ing differently? (I ID as Opera on these pages.)

It worked for me. Opera10.60, XP Professional SP3.
All very odd. I've now had a message from a fellow translator who had
coincidentally contacted me on the subject of Opera because he was
having trouble seeing the main map on buienradar.nl - which I can see
perfectly; indeed, the whole of that site seems to work perfectly to
me, unless it's very busy, when they progressively shut stuff down.

The really interesting thing is that he finds that BBC page doesn't
work even in IE...
