Tried this. Only problem was that the arrows for the next picture did not work.
Opera did not crash. Windows XP Sp3. Opera 9.54 build 10487.

Curiously I tried it a (third) time to check that the above URL was correct in
this reply - and Opera did crash! What is going on?

I tried again using the original url as posted and when the image opened it was
at:

and as before the site did not crash, but the arrows and the links at the bottom
of the page did not work. There should be four thumbnails below the bear picture
and they are not visible in Opera. The site works in Google Chrome.

Hi All,
Yes same here Opera completely shut down.... :(
Just wondering if this is another problem with Opera or with the BBC site:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8229924.stm

For me, the clip never loads.

Anyone using 10?

Hi Harry,

testing on:

Win XP/Opera 9.64 Build 10487
Linux/Opera 10.00 alpha Build 4340

aaaand

Internet Explorer 8

the clip does not play, only showing the "loathing circle".

Works fine in Firefox Win/Linux though.

Cheers,

I've now discovered that *none* of these clips loads on the BBC site,
whether I try Opera 9.64 or FF 3.5 or its predecessor (I've just
upgraded, though I hasten to add I only use FF when Opera can't cope
with the incompetence or wilful obstruction of e.g. my bank). I
suspect it has something to do with the fact that I have just
installed the latest Java, or something...

Hi Harry,

Same here. The clip doesn't load. The page loads 91 out of 92 elements - the 92nd being the clip.

I'm using opera 10.00 6652 on a Mac G% running OS 10.5.8

Page only partly loaded in Camino 2.0, loaded in Firefox 3.5.2, and loaded in iCab 4.6.1. The clip is an advertisement and you may have some blocking turned on. Might pay to check.

Regards, Alan

When I wrote 'Java or something' I meant Flash, of course. Or is
Flash by Java? Oh dear, time for a cardigan and slippers I fear.
