Where can I set the security and privacy settings in Flash as used in
Opera?

Also, it seems as though Flash operates even with plugins off in the
f12 menu. Does this mean that there is no way to disable it?

Thanks,

no, when disabled it shouldn't play at all. If you have turned Flash on
and then loaded a page, it will remain in the cache. Just reload. Or
leave Flash off by default and turn it only when needed.

Somebody unsubscribe him, please. Challenge-response systems are a bad
idea for individual emails; using them on mailing-lists is plain
inexcusable.

i wonder if itz possible to make
1-plain flash-saver?
is it hard to add "save" to drop-down menu under swf, and save it from cache, for xample?
2-adBlocker like in Maxton browser. to disable some url's from
loading
3-is it possible to add a button "copy url" in download dialog-box
(where u have to press "open/save/cancel")
cause in some softportals they have redirecting, and opera starts to
download it by internal routine.

xpecting to get an answer from someone of opera crew..
thnx..

If you open opera:cache (I think it is on the Tools menu, maybe under
Advanced - my menus are custokmized and I don't remember the default
location) you can right-click the SWF file there and save it to any
location you prefer. Use CTRL+F to find the file if you don't see it right
away.

It is probably possible to write a bookmarklet or some user JavaScript to
make this easier, but my JavaScript skills aren't quite up to that yet.

I've seen CSS files that block Flash ads, you might look at this page to
start with: <URL: http://nontroppo.org/wiki/BlockAdvertisements >.

I don't know of any way to do that. If you really want to use an external
download manager for some reason then you'll have to let Opera start to
save the file somewhere and then cancel the download. It is then really
easy to copy the download URL from the Transfers dialog.

By the way, I really like the way Opera handles downloads, while I'm
trying to decide where I want to put the file Opera is busy downloading
it. For small downloads it is often finished downloading before I can
navigate to the target directory. This is much better than the other
programs that don't even start to download the file until I've told them
where to put it. After all, I've already decided that I want it so just go
ahead and get it while I decide where to put it.
