I don't seem to be able to save attachments any more. Did I change
something I shouldn't have?

I right mouse click on the file name and Save as... menu drops down, I
find the place I want the file to be saved to, I click on save and that's
as far as it goes. Except nothing is saved.

There is no error message. Everything looks normal. When I check on the
file later, it's not there. I have tried saving to Download folder and
searching for the file, but nada.

I had many problems with this, see earlier thread (on 16/3/2010). But also
see http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=473421
It is getting better with the versions, I can now see the attachments,
previously I couldn't see them or save them.

So, how exactly can I do a fresh install AND retain my settings filters
etc? I mean wont Opera see it as an upgrade if it even lets me proceed? I
grabbed the latest version figuring these guys got it nailed now. But
there are many bugs [for me] in Opera now.

I am really a fan of Opera and I wont be giving it up easily, but this is
pushing allot of my buttons.

AND is there a 64 bit version coming?

-I am using version 3338 which seems just about ok with attachments.

If you install opera in a different folder to your usual position, then
open file "operaprefs_default.ini" and change the line "Multi User=1" to
"Multi User=0" all your new profile is installed in this new folder,
doesn't affect the old profile, so you can check and experiment if brave
enough.
