So what's up with Opera? Ever since I upgraded to 10.5 and now 10.51 I
need to login twice to my webmail account. Never was a problem before.
Currently on the first login all I can see are some check boxes on the
left side of the screen and no mail. This all clears up on the second
login.

Same game with FB too. However I cannot login at all to anything FB other
than my main page (No games etc) I tried looking at my Prefs but much of
it doesn't display. I get check boxes but no labels Same with radio
buttons. It seems to be on most menus. This is in Prefs. I can't check my
cookie status, which is where I wanted to start looking for a fix for the
face book problem.

What's that link again to adjust everything.... Opera:config? I'll try
that next. (fingers crossed)

You're not officially connected to Opera, are you?

LOL, no, I'm not connected to Opera in any way, except as a user. I just
hate Facebook... to the extent that I deleted my account there several
months ago.

You don't mind if others use Facebook, then?

I consider it a major flaw with Opera, not maintaining the password/log
on. PLUS the config section doesn't show the text next to the check boxes
or radio buttons. Wouldn't you?

It was just a joke (and one that I was considering making, myself!) Although given the way some of my coworkers go at Farmville, I can see how the humor could be missed...

Oh I got it. But Facebook is just a web site that doesn't work like it did
before my upgrade to 10.xx

I'm not defending it's usefullness or lack. Just reporting a (popular)
site that has problems.

In Opera:config (a VERY useful addition imo) It seems to be very lacking
in it's text sections although not as bad as the menu TOOLS | Preferences
is. The latter having NO text prompts and the former having terse text
prompts. There is no help when clicking on the question mark(s) under
cookies. I get a box with '14' in it. I have no idea what the fourteen
means. I'm guessing this is a work in progress and more info will be forth
coming soon.

Assuming it IS a problem with the management of my cookies, perhaps
someone with Opera could reply here. If it's clear to someone else what 14
means I would like a link to explain things to me.

Which version are you using? If you're using 10.5 try updating
to 10.51. 10.5 has some problems with cookies that might explain
your problems with FB.

Lack of visible text is sometimes caused by the text and the
background being the same color. Are you using a skin other than
one of the ones that come with Opera? Are you using an unusual
Windows color scheme? Even if you're not, switching skins might
clear up that problem.

I'm using the same skin I have always used. And wouldn't that particular
config show up everywhere? BUT just to be thurough, I'll change skins to
what ever opera deems as default and report the results.

Well Blow me down. It DID make a difference. What was working didn't work
when upgrading!
Thank You Katrina
OK so I see my cookies are set to accept cookies (no exceptions) Testing a
facebook page, I can log in to facebook BUT I cannot go to any FB linked
games. It requests my PW, it is supplied with a click on the KEY icon, but
it is rejected. I type it in manually and it's still rejected. Google's
Chrome however still manages to go from app to app without problems.
