[OU] What's With Widgets?

Under the current release using widgets has become vastly more
cumbersome. Previously, I could click on the Widgets button and pick
a widget and click on it to open quickly.

Now I have to click on Widgets, then Manage Widgets, and then double
click on a widget, then wait a much longer time for it to open, then
close Widgets when finished with the widget, then close Panels.

Why on earth was this change implemented?

I agree. I had a couple of widgets that were very useful and easy to use.
Now, they're installed like separate programs, and this has been touted as
an "improvement". I think it's a pain in the neck. Please can we go back
to the old way? I no longer use widgets.
