No, VOICE doesn't work in all cases, nor does it tell you that.

I have the 64bit version of windows Vista and I'm out of luck. I suspect
you may have Vista or perhaps Windows 7 [64bit] too.

Now if you've got.. say XP and it's not working, please disregard my reply.

I just downloaded the voice module using Opera 10.10 on Windows 7 64bit and
it installed fine. Although I keep getting "Sorry, I did not understand" in
a voice that I want to punch! Haha.

OK, it's just Vista that is lame. I should try it again with the latest
version of Opera. They might have fixed it on their end.

It was foretold that

Sorry guys, i forgot: running XP and Opera 10.10.
The download has the normal progressbar but at the end it just says:
download failed.

Hello,
I have download the voice module and it installed ok, I managed to get
Opera reading emails only if I highlighted the text first and then pressed
the Scroll Lock key and then spoke "Opera Read"
http://www.opera.com/browser/tutorials/voice/using/#req

says: Opera with Voice only works on computers running Windows XP or 2000,
and you also need the latest Opera version with Voice.

That seems to leave out Vista, Windows 7 and all 64bit systems.

Hello Finnigann,

Well Opera should download all that for you automatically from inside
Tools/Preferences/Voice thats how it goes here and has done for all the
previous versions of Opera.
