... or just with my setup - or with www.newscientist.com ?
Clicked on various links on the home page or in the email newsletter,
page loads and is then wiped clean while taskbar message reads
"Downloading data from adtech.panthercustomer.com".
"adtech" sounds like an advertisement server. They usually load with javascript.

Have you tried shutting javascript off for www.newscientist.com (and reloading the page)
before clicking the links?

When i try the links with O 9.24 and javascript off (and some other stuff off as
well...) I have no problems.

Some (if not all) of the other links mention other advertisers.

No, it never occurred to me. I'm not about to
start shutting down Javascript for particular websites!

Aha! Do you mean you get the same as I do when you leave Javascript off?
